Using Budget Buddy chat
Voice, proposals, Confirm, and what the assistant can do.
Budget Buddy is your in-app co-pilot. It can explain your surplus, suggest categories, and propose changes.
Confirm before anything is saved
When Buddy wants to add or change something, you get a card with Confirm or Skip. Those choices stick after you refresh.
Voice
- Speak replies — Buddy can read answers aloud.
- Choose a voice under Budget settings → Budget Buddy voice (previews are free; live speech uses AI credit).
- With speak on, the written reply appears when speech is ready.
Good prompts
- “Add my fortnightly pay $2,400 and rent $650 weekly”
- “Track my car loan balance $18k at 7.2% with $95 weekly”
- “Rename Plenti to Plenti Loan”
- “What is eating our surplus?”
